Whoa, I met my childhood friend today. Haven't seen him for ages, much less talked to him. Like 5 years? Dang, feels bad when someone recognises you but you don't recognise them back.
Wei: Hey Sharon: Hi Me: -turns and looks- Sharon: Recognise him? Wei: Sure cannot. Me: -thinks hard- Err... no?? Sharon: It's Wei! Me: OH MY GOD. HE LOOKS ULTRA DIFFERENT. Wei: -chuckles- Sharon: Eh met him awhile back. Me: -still in shock- What you mean YOU recognised him? Sharon: Eh... not immediately.
Bleh. And I am one of the last to meet him. Even my dad has met him before me. YEAH. Omg.
Me: Pa, I met Wei today. Dad: I saw him a few days ago. Me: What?! You didn't tell me.
Pfft. He's effing tall now. Last time we used to compare heights and I'd always scoff for being taller. Now I'm like a midget beside him. Sharon said he's about 189? I'm like 160? I'm not used to his voice after it broke. Haha. Sharon and I think he looks older than us. =( And he has hair now. hahaha! When we were young his hair was always buzzcut or shaved.
Remember: Get his hp no. >.< I still remember cycling around Gardens and playing all sorts of games with him and sometimes Sharon will join. His brother taught me Badminton. His Bouganvilla Tree which our shuttlecock will get stuck in. HAHAHAHAHA. Ah. Memories. I had a fun childhood.
Ugh the blog title sounds something out of Precious Memories or some 60's love song. But that's the best word to summarize everything now.
MY BLOG IS 3 YEARS OLD. It's been through thick and thin with me. Cheers to my blog.
I re-read a few of my older post. Brought back so much memories. Had a good laugh. Like the time where we scared Mdm Wong, Joyce's pitiful "I have coins", my sec 4 CNY and all the complaints I have of people... I still do actually. The same people. >=O
Granny was burning some letters and bank stuff along with dried grass in her garden yesterday. (Nope didn't see any clothes, Sharon. Phew.) So when you see a big bonfire, the first thing that should come to your mind is? IS?! MARSHMALLOWS!!!!! So my cousin and I were just squatting around the fire roasting our marshmallows while my granny desperately tried to turn all her letters into ashes. I wonder what was on it? =O
Speaking of my granny, we, the grandchildren, just love to ask her about our past. Apparently my great-granny was from Timbaktu and my great-grandfather was one of the few people who owned a car before WWII. Actually... WHAT EXACTLY AM I?! My father's side seems to be quite complicated.....
I'm just waiting for Sharon to finish her piano lessons. That supa woman. I can't even have normal maths tuition regularly cause I'm a bloody lazy ass.
SOMEONE PLEASE GET FOR ME THE SKIES OF AMERICA ALBUM!!! PLEASE! PLEASE! please......
Random Bits:
Phua Chu Kang was asked to make a sentence using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1.
This is what he came up with...... "1 day I go 2 climb up a 3 outside a house to peep. But couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rush out and wanted to 5 with me. I run until I fall 6 and throw out. So I go into 7 eleven and grab some 8 to throw at him.
Then I took a 9 and try to stab him. 10 God he run away. So, I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 eleven. Next day, I call my boss and say I am 6. He said 5, tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also ask me to climb a 3 and jump down. I don't understand, I so nice 2 him but I dont know what he 1".
Phua Chu Kang... Ah Phua Chu Kang, the role-model of Singlish Speaking Singaporeans. My chinese teacher said:
"Looking at how China extracted their unique culture and put it into the opening of the 2008 Olympics, can Singapore do the same? What's unique about Singapore? I hope we don't see Phua Chu Kang walking out at the opening of the Youth Olympics"
More Fun Stuff:
Now I know why Freedom doesn't last long. Problem solved. China =Cheape but short-lived. If it was made anywhere else it'll be too expensive.
The old all will die someday... So "Ashes to ashes, Dust to dust" huh?
This is useful for many people I know. More than a handful. Actually me too. I think maybe just me.
