Potter Again..

Ah, the phenomenon is back. JK Rowling really did create for herself a spectacular titular hero who's hype, since 1997 has not died.

My two cents on the 6th movie in the series: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
1. The first 1-2hrs of the movie, to me, was more of a fanservice than anything. That portion of the movie is just concentrated with so much romance between main characters and sub-characters. There was just really excessive kissing for a Harry Potter Movie. "Is the genre for HP now romance?" was what was going through my head a lot.

2. Seriously, you need to have remembered majority of the book to have fully understood the movie. The movie seems catered to obsessive readers. Why obsessive? The book came out in 2005, 4 years before the movie. I read it only then. There's only so much information I could retain. So during the movie was constantly questioning whether I ever read the book.

3. Evanna Lynch (actress of Luna Lovegood) is rather impressive. She convinced me she's mentally unsound, through and through. I loved her Lion King-like headgear. Perhaps that was why she was put in Gryffindor. Cause she's too crazy to know fear.

4. Michael Gambon made Dumbledore seem rather lighthearted. But if Richard Harris still acted as Dumbledore, I would have felt he'd collapse before he raised his wand. That was how I felt in the 1st 2 movies.

5. Maggie Smith has aged.

Nothing of a breakthrough for a Harry Potter movie. Just the romance part, but can you consider that a positive breakthrough? Don't misunderstand me though, I enjoyed the movie as much as the next person. =)

I'm currently watching the tv broadcast one. The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Professor Sybill Trelawney's first scene just reminded me of the paradox that how the "blind are able to see". Okay, she's not entirely blind, but more visually impaired than average, seeing how she clumsily fumbles and bumps into anything in her way but is the Divinations teacher.

Kay, stop blogging in case one of my JC's teacher stumbles upon and notices I'm not studying. They'll use it as emotional blackmail, I swear.

Yeah okay I ain't studying to the extent they like. Can someone teach me Mahjong so I can frikin' understand an anime? It's not cool to hear the characters go "Pong!" or "Chow!" and not understand why the hell they do. I tried via online guides, but it still didn't make complete sense.
