Scare Fest 2 - Thief Deadly Shadows

YEP! That's right! The game that was voted to have the scariest level EVER created in any game from 2003 till now, THIEF DEADLY SHADOWS. This is the 3rd installment of the Thief series. I have the second series...but I don't know why I'm not playing that first...

Okay sorry I can't give you the entire accurate information on why the hell it's scary cause I haven't played that far into the game. -looks sheepish-
I'M SCARED OKAY?! BLOODY SH!T

STORYLINE:

- Garrett =)

You play as Garrett, a master thief. You were trained by a group called THE KEEPERS. But you decided to leave them as you had no interest in their works. So in Deadly Shadows you find out a prophecy that somehow determines your future. A somewhat dark future...(I'm bullshitting. It's just what I think the storyline is after playing till the 3rd stage)

First and foremost, the game is not exactly easy. Though I'm in love with the storyline, it's too heart-stopping. Equivalent to Resident Evil 4 or even scarier.
You play as a THIEF so you cannot be spotted. STEALTH IS THE KEY and that's damn hard. The first few missions just require you to steal some important story-related objects.

THE STAGE THAT IS THE SCARIEST LEVEL MADE (some say to be scarier than Silent Hill =O): THE CRADLE.

Yep, every scary game felt like Happy Hour on Tickle U after the Cradle. The only good things I got from the Cradle were the ability to be less scared of things, my loss of my fear of the dark, and a very overwhelming level.

Makes me not want to play anymore =D

In this level, you were suppose to find out who was the old lady who attacked you. The only clue that you actually have leads to the cradle.

The cradle doesn't have a history. It has a scream stretched out through time

What Garrett says about THE CRADLE:



Everyone says it is a disturbing level. It toys with your emotions and thoughts. Somewhat like bioshock. But you can kill the ugly stuff you don't like. Thief you can't. What's worse? It makes you feel so insecure and helpless when you can't kill stuff. Only hide. It gives a damn scary feel. The normal levels are tense enough. AND THE NORMAL LEVELS DON'T HAVE GHOSTS OR ZOMBIES. F***! And you know any haunted orphanage cum asylum is bound to scare the shit out of you.

-Inside the cradle.

What makes this level so different from other games it that it's storyline is so beautifully crafted. The cradle has so many hidden mysteries, stories and secrets just thinking of it gives you a chill. What you'll see when you explore the cradle, which is an orphanage cum asylum if you didn't watch the short video >:( , are remains of patients from the asylum. Rooms that were used when doctors tried everything in their means to calm a patient down. Methods such as the electrical chair or LOBOTOMY. Lobotomy is when a surgeon goes into the patience's ear to reach for a brain nerve and cuts it. Causes change of personality and such...

ONE OF THE CRADLE MYSTERIES:

-The girl's ghost.
Like WTF! How's a blue blob casting a shadow of a girl's figure? Now I'm not the type to question the dead, but certain things need to be clarified!

A girl while playing in the orphanage, was killed. No one knows how. But her ghost CANNOT leave the place. Why? The cradle seems to have "remembered her", hence not allowing her to leave the place. As long as your stuff are in the cradle, you cannot leave. So you go on helping the girl's ghost remove her stuff, letting her leave the place. BUT THEN...THE CRADLE STARTS REMEMBERING YOU....

IN CONCLUSION, I don't want to play this stage anymore. Anyone wanna help me play it?

Oh about Bioshock, if you thought I am sadistic, let me tell you that NO ONE will not laugh when they see a Splicer go up in flames screaming, "OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH!"

Should record myself playing Bioshock. You can hear the word F**k many many times. Bioshock suddenly makes Resident Evil 4 a joke. I mean, some guy created statues by using people and taping them from head to toe...
It's so deranged you can't help but laugh. I might have lost it...

Note the white figures. Those are the "statues". Yes he did say F**k.
